This website is created using Amazon’s Lightsail. By default, the site is a http one. This means that no TLS verification is inherently present. That all changed today! The tutorial at https://lightsail.aws.amazon.com/ls/docs/en_us/articles/amazon-lightsail-using-lets-encrypt-certificates-with-wordpress is really simple to follow and using this, was able to get the site on to https!
This process needs to be repeated once in 90 days to renew the certificate but that is still a simple thing as compared to paying for a full certificate 🙂
